Uyuni is the most frequent starting point for the visit to the circuit white deserts and colored lagoons; This city is located 219 kilometers from the city of Potosí and approximately 310 kilometers from Oruro, has a height of 3676 m.s.n.m. And a population of 11,320 inhabitants. The average annual temperature is 10 degrees with low precipitation and intense solar radiation.  

The Salar de Uyuni located in the provinces Nor Lípez and Daniel Campos of the department of Potosí, has an area of more than 10,000 km2, is a height of 3653 masl, one of the largest in the world, has more than 32 islands with unique ecosystems, giant cacti, vizcachas and occasionally hummingbirds. It is surrounded by volcanic mountains between which stands out the hill Thunupa with a height of 5432 m.s.n.m.
