Our Lady of La Paz is the seat of government of Bolivia. Was founded 20 of October in 1548, by the Spanish captain Alonso De Mendoza. The center of the city is at an altitude of approximately 3,650 meters above sea level. La Paz is Bolivia's second largest and most populous urban center.

The department of La Paz is divided into three geographical areas: the plateau area formed by the Lake Titicaca region. The subandine zone formed by the northeast of the Cordillera Real and the zone of the tropical plains with a humid climate that gives rise to exuberant vegetation.

La Paz is a city that astonishes its visitors, with its houses that climb the hills playing with gravity and the cholitas (native women) with their typical clothes give a special color. La Paz is surrounded by colored hills crowned by the majestic Illimani (6,400 masl), with a variety of walks around it, colonial buildings that give it an unparalleled tourist attraction.
